Integrated pest management (IPM) is a comprehensive program that allows us to observe, monitor and control your properties soil before problems arise. The goal with an IPM approach is to keep the soil, plants and trees healthy and prevent the need for major treatments. An IPM is a comprehensive program that not only keeps your property looking beautiful but healthy, saving you time and money.

With any type of program for your lawn, timing is crucial. For the best results, LawnRx requires a working relationship with homeowners to receive feedback. Communication also helps us to confirm other preventative measures for lawn care success are occurring (mowing, watering, etc.).

Green Up Fertilizer w/ Crab Grass Control
LawnRx’s first application jumpstarts lawns after a long winter and attacks crabgrass before it starts, using a mixture of fertilizers. Also, we apply an invisible barrier to your turf, blocking crabgrass and other perennial weeds.
LawnRx performs a turf inspection before application and visible weeds are spot sprayed.

Growth Accelerator Application w/ Crab Grass Control
LawnRx’s second application utilizes fertilizers on turf to accelerate growth, improve color, density, and health. Also, specific weeds and unwanted plants are targeted before summer.

Grub & Insect Control + Late Spring Feed w/ Weed Control
LawnRx’s third application is applied to turf to help prevent active pests, grub and other damaging insects from populating. Fertilizer is also applied to help suppress any stress caused by insects and late spring/early summer weather.

Traditional Vs. Organic-Based Lawn Care Programs
Traditional and Organic-Based programs goals are the same, but the two programs work differently and have different lasting effects.
Your landscape is a living, breathing thing. An Organic-based program uses (more) natural nutrients native to the soil. The more natural the nutrients in the soil, the healthier the micro-organisms, resulting in healthier soil. The healthier the soil, the greater ability to hold water, receive future nutrients and grow a healthy and beautiful lawn. In addition, organic-based products are better for the environment, people and pets.
Traditional programs can be somewhat compared to a bandaid. They are instantaneously effective but use synthetic materials harsher on the soil’s health and environment. In the long run, they may also lead to more money spent to maintain those same instantaneous results due to soil health.
That is not to say that there are no times where traditional applications are needed at all. Still, an organic-based program focuses on the long game, continuously building soil health to optimal levels versus short-term effects.

LawnRx's Six-Step Application Program does not include any "special types" of treatments like fungicides.
Most well-maintained lawns DO NOT acquire fungus. In the event, one develops we will consult with you and treat it immediately. Please see Fungicides for more information.
